Originally from Saint John, N.B., my passion for journalism has taken me to St. Thomas University in Fredericton, N.B., where I’m a fourth-year journalism student minoring in political science and criminology.

I want to tell stories others leave behind. In 2009 I started a blog called Below the Line to tell some of the stories of those living below the poverty line. It’s still a work in progress and I’m always brainstorming ideas to make it better.

I’ve honed my reporting skills as an intern and freelance reporter with the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal. During the last two years, I’ve had more than 375 stories and several photos published in the province’s largest daily newspaper.

I’ve also taken up editing and am spending my final year at STU as news editor of The Aquinian, the university’s campus newspaper.

Thanks for visiting!
